WATER QUALITY UPDATE 8/17/2026

The recent water quality testing received has detected the presence of Cyanobacteria Bloom at Tulloch Reservoir. No Cyanotoxins were detected. For more information regarding publlic health and water quality concerns, please visit the link below

Dam Safety 

Tri-Dam's hydroelectric system is regulated by federal and state agencies. Each dam is inspected and maintained according to strict safety guidelines, ensuring structural integrity under normal and extreme conditions. Tri-Dam has developed emergency plans with emergency management agencies to warn the public in the unlikely event of an emergency at a dam.

 Reservoir and River Safety Tips: 

  • Obey all warning signs and restrictive buoys while swimming or boating 
  • Use the buddy system. Never fish, swim, boat or raft alone
  • Don't dive or jump into unfamiliar water. Shallow water or submerged trees or rocks could cause serious injury 
  • Wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket
  • Know you family's plan to get out of the water at a moment's notice
